Heart Health - Lower Your Cholesterol
According to: Dr. Susan Kleiner A study conducted in Tokyo,
Japan investigated the influence of natural cocoa powder on
the blood cholesterol profiles of 160 subjects who had either
normal or high cholesterol profiles. The subjects gave baseline
blood levels, drank a cocoa beverage for 4 weeks, and then
were tested again. All subjects showed improvements in their
cholesterol profiles, but those subjects with high cholesterol
levels showed marked improvements. This was especially significant
in lowering the bad cholesterol (LDL) and raising the good
cholesterol (HDL).
